The Story

Born in Cape Town, Woolen began with a simple vision — to create outerwear that combines natural comfort, timeless design, and conscious craftsmanship.

What started as a small creative studio has evolved into an international label rooted in care, creativity, and connection. Each Woolen jacket is ethically made in small batches, filled with luxuriously soft wool insulation, and designed to feel as good as it looks — light, warm, and enduring.

Our philosophy is simple: warmth should never come at the cost of the planet. We choose natural and recycled materials, and we design every piece to last season after season — pieces that invite you to move through life with ease, confidence, and quiet elegance.

The Craft

At the heart of every Woolen jacket is a commitment to conscious craftsmanship.
We work with trusted workshops and women-led teams in Cape Town, producing in small quantities to ensure quality, fairness, and care in every step.

Each piece is made using wool insulation sourced from free-roaming sheep in the Alps, combined with recycled or certified fabrics — including Oeko-Tex® and Bluesign® approved textiles.
All materials are fluorocarbon-free, emphasizing protection that’s kind to both people and planet.

Our process embraces both innovation and intention: thoughtful design, precise detailing, and low-impact production methods that honour the beauty of natural materials.
